Older members will remember “TW3”; David Frost et al. This is the WWCC take on a busy week with Round 6 of the Club Championship on Tuesday and four away matches over Wednesday and Thursday; “four teams, at Gt Baddow, Basildon, Barking and Chingford which severely stretched our resources. No reserves anywhere!” (MM).
The Wednesday matches brought a splendid result for WW2 away to Writtle when they pulled off a 4-4 draw, a squeak away from a smash & grab win. Report and a game on EL2 page – link below. Meanwhile, NC3 dealt a near-whitewash to Chingford 3 away.
On Thursday, EL1 kept up their occupation of top spot with an excellent away win over Basildon by 6-2; four wins, four draws, no losses. Closer to home, EL3 couldn’t quite manage to hold on away to Barking II; one loss with five draws.
