London's Ultra Low Emissions Zone
Wanstead House, 21 The Green, Wanstead E11 2NT is in London's ULEZ which, from 29 August 2023, extends across ALL London boroughs.
Vehicles which DO NOT meet the minimum emissions standards will be charged per day to drive within the zone, so those travelling by road to Wanstead House will want to check whether their vehicles comply.

Club Knockout Championship
Standard play, G80+10.
Fixed dates: R1, 5 November 2024; R2 Knockout and R1 of Plate (new), 7 January; Final 27 May 2024.
Intermediate rounds: "play by" dates to be advised; players arrange their own venue and date.
Random draw for each round and progress to the next round is at "draw odds".
Draw odds means:
Rating difference 100+ points higher-rated player must win, opponent need only draw;
Rating difference less than 100 points, White must win Black need only draw.

Handicap Blitz Grand Prix ("HBGP")
Five-event series running throughout the season.
Dates: 3 Dec; 4 Feb; 4 Mar; 1 Apr; 6 May.
Time handicap: core time 8 mins on each clock, before the higher-rated player donates time to opponent in a lower rating group.

Ladder [14 Sep]
U1650 Ladder Tournament
Standard play games based on challenges made.
Runs from, September to July. Members may join the tournament at any time and must be rated U1650. Entrants may challenge players up to five rungs above them in the ladder. Lower player must win to advance up the Ladder.
The player on the top rung at the end of the competition is the winner and holds the John Langford Trophy for one year.
