London League NEW Fixture List

The London League Fixture List saga is hopefully completed with publication of the re-drawn list. WW fixtures are completely re-drawn with new dates and a mostly new set of venues, now including the home venues of clubs with their own central London venues (some of which are changed from last season). London League Fixtures

The London League Fixtures for our only LL team have been published and are added to the London League team page and the website Calendar, which has been extended by a month as we have a LL fixture in June 2026. The Calendar extension has been made in order to show this fixture as part of the 2025-26 London League season, but it will count for the 2026-27 David Wood and Roy Wagstaff trophies. London League Fixtures

The London League Fixtures are published. Two Wanstead teams have been entered, the first team in Division 2 and the second team in the Minor Division. The first fixture for each is on 6 October 2022 and both are travelling west, to the Mind Sports Centre and both play opposition from Wimbledon. AGM 7 June 2022 and other news

At the club’s recent Annual General Meeting the members decided to: adopt a restructured Constitution, updated to incorporate virtual meetings and regulatory requirements: Constitution and By-Laws; repeat and extend this year’s programme of activities (jncluding the 2022 summer programme) adding, subject to captains being found, additional teams in the Essex and Central London leagues as well as the restoration of teams in the North Circular League (should it be resurrected) and such other internal events at the discretion of the […]

For the first time in nearly two years, the Club once again played a match in the London League. Not quite as we know it, but London League OTB chess is back. The League had to reinvent itself to cater for who was prepared to play where and at what cost.
