Welcome to our new collapsible accordion Calendar; the same “Calendar” pages with which you are familiar, just a different delivery system. The current month is open by default when you select ‘Calendar’ from the menu bar above and remains in bold lettering even if you close it; makes it easier to spot when you want to re-open it.
To expand a month simply click on its title bar; re-click to collapse. The last month you closed does not regain its background colour until you open another month. You can have as many months or as few months simultaneously expanded as you wish; they don’t have to be consecutive, though you can’t hide intervening months.

The Calendar for the new chess year currently shows many dates which are, at this stage, provisional, pending the setting of other dates outside our control. Those provisional dates are marked with an asterisk *, which will be removed when the dates are confirmed or new dates indicated.
The Calendar necessarily runs from May 2026 to the end of the following chess year (31 August 2027). This is to cover the summer 2026 Rapid events starting with Bonanza Night, on 26 May 2026, then the NCCL team knockouts, played in the League season, which count towards the John Philpott Trophy awarded at the 2027 AGM. Continuing the Calendar to the end of the2026-27 chess year will give an early look at points counting towards the 2027-28 John Philpott Trophy. Look back, look forward.
