October Friendlies

Two wins and a draw Three fixtures, in October, billed as “friendlies” were nonetheless keenly contested. With teams matched for strength, the Club emerged with two wins by the narrowest margin – against Hackney and the Warriors (W&W JCCC) – and a draw in the other, against Chingford. Essex All Over v W&WCC

Real Match Chess returns

W&WCC v Essex – 8 boards After 17 months in abeyance WWCC returns to match chess this Saturday. Part of the Essex Chess Association’s Back to Real Chess Festival, eight players take on a scratch team from the Essex County squad. Each player from the opposition representing a different Essex Club. Aix-en-Provence

In September a Club team of nine players is travelling again to Aix-en-Provence to compete with our friends there on the evening of Friday 20th September in a blitz tournament and then on the afternoon of Saturday 21st in a rapid tournament.
