As we near the 80th Anniversary of the date of the celebration match, held Wednesday, 2 October 1946, to mark the Club’s move to Wanstead House, we have published a Feature article, uncovering some of the history, not only of the Club’s move, but of the Community Association which is itself celebrating the 80th Anniversary of its opening.
Our repeat of the 2 October 1946 match will be on the day itself, this Friday, 2 October 2026. Mark has signed up 24 members as we write. Members who would like to play, but have not yet confirmed their availability should contact Mark soonest – room for all!
