Tiers there maybe, but W&WCC carries on. Rule of Six is for the present kicked into touch. London and Essex are currently on Covid alert Level Tier 2 – High, meaning we cannot currently play OTB chess as indoor gatherings are currently banned. So how can we continue to meet? Important change affecting Club nights

With effect from 00:01 on Saturday 17 October, London and Essex move into Covid-19 alert level Tier 2 – High. This means that indoor gatherings are banned outside your household and Club night games have to cease until the alert level returns to Tier 1. Postponements and cancellations

The London Chess League have postponed ALL London Chess League fixtures until Easter (Fri 10 Apr-Mon13 Apr) due to Covid-19. However, we cannot see the situation being any better by then, so expect a subsequent upgrade to “for the duration”. That’s only the Website’s view, not LCL policy.
