The second outing of the Wanstead Wanderers in this season’s League of Mayhem was a disappointing loss by 3-1 to Hackney Hungry, blunders spoiling chances of taking advantage of Ashley’s excellent win.
In the first round of the new Division 2, the two Wanstead teams met, Pawnstead defeating Wanstead TBC by a near-whitewash – 3½-½, but the apparently one-sided encounter, like the Wanderer’s match, might have been much closer.
Thinking of a competition for the best suggestion for “TBC” (apart from “to be confirmed”)…
Meanwhile, 4NCL Round 5 takes place on 20 October, when RA1 play Horsham 2 and RA2 meet Celtic Tigers Cubs.
