New boy Ryan heads table

An evening of Handicap Blitz once again proved a levelling experience, with several fancied players dropping points to lower rated opponents.

Several new names were included in the list, one of whom, Ryan Colclough, spectactularly headed the table on 5/6, along with resident speedster, Terry Whitton. David Smith was next on 4½, followed by Tu Sennan, Paul Barclay and Michael Wilson on the third step of the podium, each with 4 points.

Terry Whitton now leads the Grand Prix with 14 points from 18 games, ahead of Paul Barclay on 12½ and Ashley Freeman and David Smith on 10½. 37 players have played at least one game in the series.
