Tiers there maybe, but W&WCC carries on. Rule of Six is for the present kicked into touch. London and Essex are currently on Covid alert Level Tier 2 – High, meaning we cannot currently play OTB chess as indoor gatherings are currently banned. So how can we continue to meet? Important change affecting Club nights

With effect from 00:01 on Saturday 17 October, London and Essex move into Covid-19 alert level Tier 2 – High. This means that indoor gatherings are banned outside your household and Club night games have to cease until the alert level returns to Tier 1. The Rule of Six

Social distancing regulations change from Monday 14 September, so will apply to our next socially-distanced, pre-booked, Club night, 15 September and beyond, until further notice. From Monday,  i.e. our next socially-distanced Club night on Tuesday 15 September, we have to observe groups of no more than six. The duty steward will therefore indicate at the start of the evening, which tables constitute each zone.
